As another year comes to an end, we can't help but look in retrospect at all of the incredible things that have happened throughout this past year. Many challenges have marked the past few years. For us, it was a time of many changes and adaptations. As the world transitioned and businesses needed to innovate and adjust to these new times, fostering our community, clients, friends, and partners and celebrating our achievements were the focus of 2020 and 2021.
2022 started with a renewed spirit. It was indeed a year of new opportunities for Beyond The Stage Homes. Our top priority for 14 years has been to provide high-quality home staging and design solutions and a premium experience for our clients. It is this philosophy that guides our every action and decision, and this motivation brought us to the creation and development of our own in-house renovation division.
Launched in May, the Upgrade Division, led by our Upgrade Specialist, Manbir Saar, allows us to provide a complete service to our design and home staging clients. Since its launch, Manbir has provided home-selling and design clients with beautiful feature walls, flooring, exquisitely painted walls, new lighting, custom millwork, and much more.
2022 has also been a year of strengthening our relationships and our community. This year we had the pleasure of participating in the KW Realtor® Run, the WRAR Golf Tournament and the WRAR Housing Market Insights event, where we were able to connect with clients, catch up with partners and learn real estate trends from our community's top professionals.
Beyond The Stage Homes was also proud to sponsor and participate in the MS Walk in May, an event to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis and funds for the MS Society of Canada. This cause is very dear to the company and has been a benefactor of our support for numerous years.
Shauna Lynn, RESA's Top 100 most influential people in Real Estate Staging and home staging expert, participated as a speaker at the prestigious Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) Conference in Las Vegas, where she discussed profitability, leadership and building a powerhouse team. Shauna Lynn, nurturing the company's values of equality and female leadership empowerment, was also a speaker at Empowered Women, an event that showcases impactful women from the community.
Throughout the year, Beyond The Stage Homes' dedication and quality standards did not go unnoticed. We started the year as the honoured recipients of the 2022 Canadian Business Award for Ontario's Best Home Staging and Design Company. Later in the year were recognized by Global 100 as Best Home Staging & Design Company in Canada.
Beyond The Stage Homes was also acknowledged by RESA as the Top Ten Professional Home Staging Team of the Year for Vacant Staging. Our sister company, SLS Academy, was a finalist at the same awards ceremony for their Client Care Package for Home Stagers, a product that was developed and refined and continues to be utilized in our home staging division. Our talented Senior Home Stager, Heather Cook, was recognized as Top Ten Professional Stager of The Year in the Occupied Staging Category for 2022.
Following such an incredible sequence of achievements, BTSH won platinum on the Record Readers Award 2022 in the Home Staging Services category and was listed as one of the Top 3 Interior Design and Decorators in Kitchener by Three Best Rated.
All of these accomplishments wouldn't be possible without the dedicated and passionate team at Beyond The Stage Homes. We are very grateful to accomplish these incredible milestones beside them, and we, likewise, celebrate our team's milestones with us. Christiane Roy (Senior Designer), Christina Yanke (Staging Support Assistant), Heather Cook (Professional Home Stager) and Nicole Sartorelli (Professional Home Stager) have celebrated their first anniversary at BTSH. Martha Wallace (Professional Home Stager) completed four years, and Marina Hermann (Executive Assistant) has also celebrated her 8th anniversary with us!
This year we also welcomed several new team members to the BTSH team. Joanne Nechanicky (Client Experience Specialist), Alex Braun (Senior Designer), Fernanda Cardoso (Conversation Creator), and Jen van der Velden (Professional Home Stager), and it has been thrilling to see this team grow and thrive as though they have been working together for a lifetime.
We end 2022 energized by the knowledge that we are on the right path and grateful for all the wonderful opportunities this year has brought us. We now look ahead and forward to all that 2023 will create, planning for another prosperous year for BTSH, our valued clients and esteemed partners.
